Based on the manga's third main story arc, Stardust Crusaders, the game follows Jotaro Kujo, a Japanese teenager with a supernatural ability known as a "Stand." When approached by his grandfather, Joseph Joestar, Jotaro discovers that this power is the result of the influence of the Joestar family's sworn enemy, a vampire named Dio Brando. When his mother's life is threatened by an uncontrollable Stand, Jotaro and Joseph embark on a quest to destroy Dio so that they can cure her.
