The cartoonish graphics and the Halloween-ish atmosphere combined with the clever level design result in an awesome gaming experience. MediEvil is one of those old school hack and slash games that were so loved in the era of the first home consoles.
Being old-fashioned doesn't mean the game is super difficult, like how so many games from that time used to be. It does come with its challenges but it only serves to make the experience even better.
MediEvil has its own interesting storyline but we won't spoil it here. What you need to know is that you are an undead knight and you have to slash all the zombies you encounter while also keeping an eye out for quest items.
